Ready to see this week's sketch and inspirational photo?
This week I decided to use only the inspirational photo for my card. I was immediately drawn to the cute heart pattern and knew I had the perfect stamp set I could use to re-create that pattern...Papertrey Ink Background Basics: Hearts. Those little red hearts are such fun to stamp and I used the stamped paper to create a cute sweater-shaped card (Papertrey Ink Shape Up Sweater Die ). While I was making the sweater, I was wishing my daughter was little again as I would have loved to dress her up in this sweater with a pair of cute red leggings. You remember those days...when you could dress your kids in anything you wanted that was "cute", at least to you? I can't remember the last time I was able to buy something for Carly that she would "actually" wear!
I added some lace trim around the collar, cuffs and hemline and added a row of pearls to bling up the red trim. The cute cupid die cut is from Impression Obsession (Cupids).
So what do you think? Will it be the sketch, the inspirational photo or a combination of them both for you this week? There is lots of time to think about it, make your card and get it posted before the challenge ends on Tues. Feb 11th at noon PST. That's right...two weeks to play with the winners being announced right before the next challenge is posted. Speaking of winners...have you seen the winners from Challenge #3? Here's a link...I am hoping you will see your own card in the winner's gallery!

This little sweater card is just SO adorable Cathy! love the pearls and lace and sweet cupid! It's so true - we have such a short time span to dress our kids they way we want to!! LOL!!
Wow you did wonders in recreating the photo inspiration :) love the idea of sweater n the lace looks perfect
This is absolutely darling. I just realized that I have that heart background set, so I think I should be making some heart paper, too. Love how you added the lace, and made it look so much like a real sweater. I had the extreme fun of having 2 girls to dress up, and used to buy 2 of everything Gymboree sold. Gone are those days, but I suppose it frees up a lot of stamping money.
I think it's darling! Yes I remember those days as if they were yesterday. Love the heart paper and the adorable way you decorated this sweater. The pearls and lace are too darn cute!
Cathy, this is beyond amazing! Wow! I love all the pearls and the sweet lace. Perfect take on the inspiration. And...oh how I miss dressing my little boys in adorable outfits too!
WOW Cathy, this is just gorgeous. So much detail. I love the row of pearls at the bottom along with the lace. Just perfect.
Oh yes I could see a sweet little one in this sweater!! Very cute idea Cathy and the lace trim is a nice touch!
Darling, and very unique card, love the frills and the pearl details, cupid is most cool!!!
This is so super sweet, Cathy! The sweater looks like someone from "edc" :-)
Well I have a daughter but she always hated all the frilly stuff so I guess I need to make a sweater for myself. This is just too cute and would love for you to make one for me, size small please. This is just fabulous.
This card is just so adorable! SO sweet and I love that it is a sweater.
Love your sweet sweater! The heart design is beautifully stamped and the lace & pearls make it even more girly. Wonderful cupid die cut too--super image and I love the size. I didn't have girls but am now making up for it by shopping for granddaughters. My go-to store is Gymboree and so far they love my choices--as long as it's something glittery!
Cathy, this sweater is so sweet! The lace and pearl details are wonderful and that little cupid is gorgeous! :-)
seriously, this is sooooo cute! I love the pearls and all the little bits of details. Perfection!
