12 Kits of Occasions: January with Sharron

The last day of the month is always a fun day...the posting day for our 12 Kits of Occasions card kit group.     To learn more about our 12 Kits of Occasions group...you can find us on our blog, Facebook and Pinterest where we have all of our cards from through the year pinned, all ready to give you lots of inspiration!  This month our hostess is Sharron of On Papillon Wings.  We all received a beautiful kit, full of so many beautiful elements with a "I think I Love You" theme.  When I say a large kit...I am not exaggerating.  Take a look at the kit photo:

It's a beauty, isn't it?  I bet you can just imagine all the cards you could make with such a kit.  I ended up making 5, with enough left overs for many more too!
This card is my favorite...I used the sweet elephant patterned paper and die cuts to make a baby card.  I love the "hello" die cut and the pretty twine that Sharron sent us.

Everything on this card except the bow and enamel heart are from our kit.  The patterned papers we received were so much fun to work with.

Isn't this the cutest angel image?  I colored her with colored pencils and glittered the cloud, wings and hearts with prisma glitter.  The tag is from Lil Inker (Love Tags Die Set) and has a beautiful embossed heart pattern all around the outside edge.

I have never used any stamps with a typewriter theme before...but they are FUN!  I added a few little hearts to the keyboard and popped the typewriter up with dimensional foam.

This card is all Lil Inker.  Every. Single. Element.  It started with the Floating Hearts Die that Sharron sent us.  I layered it over a Cover Up Die: Stitches and Stripes, added a Balloon String Die to the hearts (Of the Heart Dies) that Sharron sent us and used a Stitched Mat Rectangle stamped with a sentiment from Love Things Stamp Set.  The balloons look so cute with a few sparkly sequins attached, don't you think?

We also are lucky to have a guest designer playing along with us this month.  In addition to the rest of the 12 Kits of Occasions designers...please check out Michelle of Pretty Periwinkles who was the winner of the extra kit Sharron put together.  I can't wait to see what everyone created!

Wonderful cards Cathy. Love the little hearts on the keyboard.

Cathy, I love the glitter in the cloud on the angel card... wish I had thought of that! And then the way you have the heart hanging down out of the "o" in the love card. The added heart to the typewriter paper makes it so sweet!

Oh Cathy - you always surprise me! I'm getting cleaner and you are getting fussier! I love all the layers and combinations of paper and elements you added to all your cards. THe little hears on the typewriter keys, that sweet angel with the glittery cloud on the tag, and the bitty elephants with their ears flapping!

As I'm saying to all of you this month, I've been waiting to see the February kit coz I knew you girls would just fill Blogland with lots of hearts and love and you didn't disappoint me! I especially love the typewriter card, but they are all brilliant, Cathy!! Hugs, Darnell

Cathy, you did such an incredible job. I love all your cards. Brilliant idea with the little angel and the cloud, and I love how you used the typewriter. I feel really dumb that I did not think to use the sentiment and typewriter together.

Oh, forgot to say that I love how you turned those hearts into balloons. That was genius.

Wow Cathy terrific cards!! Love them all but your card with the little angel stole my heart!!

Cathy I love your baby card and how you dropped the heart pennant from the love die. Gorgeous collection of cards today. The heart balloon die are fantastic and I really like how you incorporated that M-S day stripe in the typewriter card--fantastic! Loving playing with you each month!

Cathy…. you have so many fresh ideas here today I don't know where to begin. Love the elephant card I could not come up with anything and then I see your card and loved it. Also love the balloon hearts what an adorable card… looks like I will be wanting some new dies. The date paper with the typewriter sooo stinking smart! This sure was a fun and beautiful kit.

I'm in LOVE with your baby card--SO adorable! Every card is amazing and so wonderfully filled with perfect little details. The heart on your bow and the hearts on the 'LOVE', the glittered cloud and the paper with the week days were all fabulous additions. And I adore your heart balloons! That's another "why didn't I think of that" thing that I plan to CASE!

I think you take the prize for my favorite set of cards with this month's kit! Every single one is fabulous, Cathy. I can't get over the first one--elephants on postage stamps? Adorable! The glittered cloud and angel wings are so very pretty, and your typewriter is the cutest with the embellished keys. Awesome designs this month!

I'm having a 12 Kit catch up day! Sharron's kit was so much fun, I'm having fun reminiscing! Love those heart balloons with the sweet diagonal stitched background. I really need to get going on my Lil Inkers collection! Darling teeny hearts on those typewriter keys! I think my fave is the sweet cupid card with the layout and the soft kraft and peachy colors. Adorable details from the glitter to the bedazzled bow!
