Four of a Kind: January with Joyce

**I have two posts today...my Fusion Card Challenge card should be at the top of my blog roll**

Even though Christmas is over and it is nearly 80 degrees where I live, it is technically still Winter and do I have some fun Winter cards for you today!  It's time for our quarterly Four of a Kind blog hop with Joyce (this month's hostess), Kim, Renee and me.  In early December, Joyce sent us a fabulous kit...jam packed with all kinds of patterned papers, die cuts and embellishments all prepared to help us make some Winter/Christmas cards in time to photograph and then mail out for the 2013 Christmas season.  I only got two cards done before Christmas, but they are long gone now and only these photographs left in their place.  Here's the great kit Joyce sent us:
I was very excited to see that Joyce sent us stamped images from Papertrey Ink's Two Feet Deep.  It was a set I really wish I had gotten and could not wait to use it.  I also loved the patterned papers from Carta Bella Winter Fun collection.  The blue, kraft and cranberry colors looked so beautiful together.  Here are my cards:

This one is my favorite...loved those skis and the Snow diecuts.  I got to use a lot of patterned paper on this too!

Isn't that the cutest sled?  My very favorite image from the Two Feet Deep Stamp set.  I also loved the loopy border die Joyce sent us too.

You might think I did a lot of stamping on this card, but you would be WRONG!  The patterned paper already had the cute silhouettes, polka dot trees and swirls.  I just crimped the tag and added the other embellishments.

I got to use that cute sled again as well as some of the pretty patterned paper and a large Lil Inker snowflake.

This last card was so fun to make...kind of an organized mess when you think of all the kit pieces that went into it.  I did learn that I should NEVER make my own snow shoes...they are very hard to lace!  I also added a very cute bow to the bottom of the snow shoes.  The die is from Mama Elephant and was a gift from Joyce, so I had to add it to the mix.

This was lots of fun this month...I can hardly wait to see what Joyce, Kim and Renee have made with their kits.  Here's a link to their blogs so you can take a peek at their great cards!  Thank you Joyce once again for a really fun kit!

See how far behind I am...
you got a blog makeover and I didn't even know...
YAY!!
It looks gorgeous...
love it! :)
And what a fabulous collection of cards...
like Kim I can tell you had a lot of fun with this kit...
it shows!
I can't pick a favorite...
but I am lovin' what you did with the tag...
glad I have that still in my stash!
And no way would I even attempt to lace snowshoes...
I'm Southern and those things are never seen around here...
I'm pretty sure some people would ask "WHAT?!!" if you asked about them! *giggle*

Wow--Cathy--you did such amazing things with this kit and I think you used almost everything--even things that stumped me. Love your first card, especially how you layered the Snow die cut word, put the snowflake in the center of the 'O' and made those perfect banners out of the paper with the image strips. Love how you did the left border on the next card--looks like you cut one of the papers and laid down strips offset, right? And, love the sled atop of that sentiment die cut, amazing idea to crimp the tag and use that word paper as the tag filler and again, more snowflakes from that die cut--well, I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea. I am pinning everything to our 4 of a kind board, of course, and am so glad I can CASE away everything you did. Oh, PS your collage is fantastic--nothing I could ever imagine, and bravo to you for trying to lace up those snowshoes--what was I thinking sending that die cut out? Sweet sweet little bow. I have that die, too, and just love how it looks.

Wow! lots of fun and layering with these delicious, wintery images and items. I can't believe you laced those snow-shoes! That card deserves to be framed rather than sent... I came from Kim H's blog, to see what you Four-of-a-Kind were all about. Obviously, FUN!
