12 Kits of Occasions Let's Hear it for the Boys

Let's Hear it for the Boys!

Remember that old song?  Footloose with Kevin Bacon is one of my all-time favorite movies.  This month the 12 Kits of Occasions group had a lot of fun with our "boys" themed kit provided by our hostess Jeanne Jachna of A Kept Life.  Jeanne is a master at creating fabulous kits for us, full of lots and lots of die cuts and stamped images and sentiments which make it very easy for the rest of our group to create cards no matter what the theme is.  This month, masculine cards were up and once again we had a ton of options with Jeanne's kit.  Here's a picture of the kit that Jeanne sent us:

Thank you Jeanne for a really fun kit this month!

Here are the cards I made this month:

I loved digging through the box of die cuts Jeanne sent us...most of my cards are very simple, but Jeanne's cute die cuts make even a simple card stand out.  I think I am all stocked up with masculine cards that should last me quite a while!

Please check out our 12 Kits or Occasions blog for more details about this month's kit with a list of specific stamps and dies as well as links to the other designers playing along this month.

Hi Cathy! Just got back from vacation and am making my rounds! So happy to see all your wonderful cards - so many clever ideas that I never thought of! All so clean and just like you said.. just the right amount of pop and detail. Love the lightbulb and the last one with the birds - that one perched on the "dad" is perfect!

These are great, Cathy. Love the monochrome background with the birds, and the rest are fab, too!

It sure was a great kit! I love how you used the tape with that sentiment! Just love that one! I need to make that for Oscar for sure. Looks like we all did the same thing with the cork and I love how yours looks. Hope you are enjoying your wonderful place away. I just found an old email that I missed from you, sorry.

Cathy...you totally rocked Jeanne's kit! So many fabulous and fun cards. Your middle card is my favorite of the bunch, so perfect for any dad!

Love your clean, crisp designs! They're all so perfect for masculine cards. Your second card with the die cut cover and bold colors looks awesome! Great designs with the tape and the tools too. And I love the last card--just stunning!

You really nailed it this month with this fabulous collection of masculine cards. Love how bold and straight forward they all are. They strike me as cards that Warren would definitely approve of.

Cathy what an awesome collection of masculine cards. Great way to bring the sentiment on the first card from the left. I just love that you made one for your son too. Jaxon is absolutely adorable by the way!

I love the tape card! The colors really make it stand out. I like the die that you used with the lightbulb card. For the lift of me I couldn't figure out with that little curlycue die was...duh, the middle of the lightbulb!
