12 Kits of Occasions: February with Sharron

Wow.  It's been a long time since I have made some cards...I almost forgot how to write up this blogpost!  Here's what I have been busy with:
My sweet little grandson Jaxon is now 3 months old and starting this Monday I am officially retired and I get to take care of him during the week while his mom and dad work.  I've been stocking up on lots of baby supplies, and I've got Warren busy putting together a jogging stroller right this minute.  No, not planning on jogging, but no sidewalks around my house and I'm planning on taking Jaxon for a walk every day I can.

This month our 12 Kits of Occasions group all received a beautiful package of goodies from our hostess Sharron Gregory of        .  Sharron must have been stamping and die cutting for weeks getting this package together for us...the theme is Bye, Bye, Birdie and it is fabulous!  Ready to see the kit we all received?

Here are the four cards I have made with Sharron's kit:

I used MFT Blueprints #22 for my collage style card.  I love all the cute script die cuts Sharron sent us.
I just added a little copic shading and some of the gorgeous twine to the patterned paper from our kit.

I love the idea of that sweet bird perched on the swing.

Again, more of the pretty script die cut words and some music notes along with the soft and pretty patterned paper from our kit.

That's it for me this month, but you are going to want to check out what the rest of the 12 Kits of Occasions team has made this month. The kit details are posted over at the 12 Kits of Occasions Blog.

Thank you Sharron for a very fun month of sweet little "birdie" fun!

Oh, Cathy, the star of your post today is definitely sweet little Jaxon! He is so adorable and aren't you lucky to have your new job--full time grandma! Wow, you are going to love it! It's wonderful to see you back stamping and your cards are awesome. Love what you created with the kit. Hope to be seeing more of you now. If you don't have time for cards, just take baby pictures!!

I am in love with Jaxon! What a total cutie pie. Of course you would not want to work or craft if you have that little guy available for snuggles. Love the cards you made, also. They are all wonderful. Love how you used some glitter or bling to dot your i's in Thinking of you, and your sweet swing for the bird is such a great idea. I spy a MFT speech bubble die also (!)

Oh Cathy!! SO happy to see you back in action I've been missing seeing your beautiful creations. But yes.. easy to understand your priorities. Jaxon is A DOR A BLE! OMG! Now you really have the best job in the world! He stole the show!. Your cards are beautiful! I thought it was so smart to make a card that didn't have a bird on it at all - it's unexpected and got my attention right away. I love the birdie on the swing and all the shiny sequins!

SO absolutely awesome - this has been the funnest visit to your blog for me!! So impressed with the special die cuts, and other embellishments and details you added to the kit to create 4 very fun and phenomenal cards!! My favorite one is the card with the clouds in the background and the speech cloud - the paper you die cut it with just happens to be my favorite piece of paper in the kit! Just so overwhelmed with the cool ideas and designs you used on these cards!! Have a delightful weekend!!

Oh what a precious baby! I am so happy that you'll get to be spending time with him, congratulations on your retirement...although it sounds like you are going to be pretty busy :)

So glad that you are back! I love the birds as "notes" in their own song! The fabulous blue sky with the bird on the swing is a gorgeous scene, just wish it looked like that outside my window. Jason was hurling pantyhose filled with some melting substance up on our roof today. Around here we are all dealing with huge "ice dams" on our roofs because the snow keeps building with no melting due to cold temps. I guess if you don't get it to start melting, water starts coming into your house via your walls, eek! Hope the neighbors don't laugh at us because we are the first to do it. Of course, Jason picked black pantyhose (smacking self on head)!

Cathy, it may have been a long time since you created, but you certainly haven't lost your gift to make fabulous cards! Love how you added the birds to the music staff, how you layered the supplies so brilliantly on the first, and how you did sideways banners. These are fabulous! And oh my is Jaxon adorable! Love his little chubs...I just want to cuddle him. :) Congrats on your official retirement and new "job". What a fun one! :)

Congrats on your early retirement my friend, but I bet that little guy is going to have you fast on your feet. Why and I here again? Oh yes your card, all gorgeous.
