12 Kits of Christmas with Jeanne

Edit: We are driving home from vacation...if this doesn't post properly, forgive me and I will re-post once we are home. I may not be able to comment on your great cards until I am home, so don't think I won't at least be looking at them while we drive!

Have I been having a great time this week? The answer is YES! Not only have I been on vacation, but I am playing along with my sweet friends in the 12 Kits of Christmas club. Jeanne Jachna of A Kept Life is the hostess this month and she was generous enough to send me one of the 13...yes, 13 fabulous kits she made jam packed with enough patterned paper, die cuts, sentiments and embellishments to make at least a dozen cards. I didn't make a dozen, but I did make 6 cards, the first holiday cards I have made Christmas 2013. Here they are:

I love the Christmas silhouettes from WPlus9...

I just had to add a poofy bow, flowers and lace to this beautiful die cut from Marianne Creatables (Winter Birds).
These were all scraps left over from the gigantic array of patterned paper that Jeanne sent in our kit.

More WPlus9 silhouettes

I used the half scallops from the kit to make a border

Love the silver belt buckle on this one

Here they all are lined up on my shelf. It just makes me happy to look at them!

I have had my fun, now it's time for you to have a little fun. Make sure to follow all the links below to see what the other girls in the 12 Kits of Christmas club have come up with. There will be a ton of inspiration to get you in the mood to make some great Christmas cards for 2013.

They're all fabulous Cathy...
but the 2nd one is my favorite with that pouffy bow and lace...
love how you used that die cut!
And YAY!
Now you've gotten started on Christmas...
only 6 more months now!
Did I scare ya? :)
Scares me! *giggle*
Have a safe trip! :)

These are all so wonderful. I can see that you had a good time, and you really used all the ingredients so well. Brilliant idea to use those half circles to form a border--wish I had thought of that. I think my favorite is your card with the Christmas list--I was so stumped as to how to use that bit (and I even own the stamp set and have never used it)--that card is just so perfectly done.

OH WOW!! I can't believe all the wonderful things you made Cathy! I love them all - lots of layers and everything perfectly placed! What strikes me most is how you broke up the patterns with different borders like the rows of pp stripes, and the fancy die cut edge. Beautiful and so glad you joined us this month - I've been missing you!

The heart die cut with that gorgeous bow treatment is especially pretty. And I adore how you used the WPlus9 images. I think my favorite is the little girl--great papers and coloring and I love the buckle!

I've missed seeing your creations with the kits, Cathy! What a treat to have you join us this month. You did an amazing job with these goodies. The bow and flowers on the heart die cut look beautiful, especially with the way you layered the papers underneath. My other favorite is the one with the paper bag and silhouettes layered on top--I really love the colorful paper strips you used and the black gems in the corner!

Oh SO glad you could join in the fun this month! One of my fave things is to line up the cards at the end, too :)!! I love the little sledding girl card with the way you used the ribbon buckle and that cute little sentiment. The dove heart card is so elegant with your big Jeanne bow! The mix of red die cuts and patterns on the Joy card are so festive! Have been peeking at more recent posts of your son's wedding...a spectacular couple, gorgeous bride! What fun you must have had!!
