Serendipity Stamps Summer Release Blog Hop

You should have arrived here from Anya's blog, but if not, a full list of the blog hop participants is listed at the bottom of my post.

The weather is warming up and Summer is just around the corner.  Today, the Serendipity Stamps Design team is sharing samples of the first stamp and die set of the Summer release...introducing Pear Die and Stamp set.
When I think of Summer, I always think of the beautiful, fresh sweet fruit that is so abundant.  Todays hop focuses on one of those delicious fruits, a beautiful pear stamp and matching die.  **These can be purchased separately or together as a set.
I have three cards to share today, two using the die and one using the stamp.  Here they are:
I am starting off with my favorite.  For my card I used just the intricate die (Pear Die).  I cut the die (which cuts so crisp and clean) and layered it onto a checkerboard pattern I cut with my Silhouette Cameo.  I love the contrast between the green pear and the black and cream background.  For my sentiment, I used another stamp from Serendipity, Handmade Just for you and just masked off the first half of the sentiment.

My second card is a folksy type of card which also uses the new Pear Die.
I cut out two of the pears and added them to some very homey paper, Summer Fresh from Simple Stories.  The sentiment was cut on my Silhouette Cameo and I love the those pears with ric rack.

My last card today uses the Pear Stamp Set.
The pear is stamped in gray ink and the sentiment is also one from Serendipity...For All You Do.  I think this card could be used for either a guy or a girl and you won't believe how nicely this image stamps...perfect, sharp and clear.

You are going to want to leave a comment on all of the Design Team blogs today, there will be one random winner who will receive a new pear stamp and die, just for leaving a comment!  You have until Friday, May 3rd to leave your comment and the winner will be announced on the Serendipity Stamps Blog on Monday, May 6th.

And yes, there's more!  I sound like an infomercial, don't I? In just two days, Thursday,  May 2nd, the Design Team will be sharing a batch of new stamps...all very pretty and perfect for Summer stamping.  Make sure to check our blogs then and there will be a grand prize available...and it is a whopper!  There will be a random draw for a complete set of all the stamps released on that day.  You should now pop over to Marybeth's blog.  I am sure she will have something fabulous for you to look at.

Here is the blog hop order just in case you have missed it.  Enjoy the hop!

Beautiful cards Cathy and three great looks - the pear takes center stage and is just yummy looking. I really love that frame on the first (the checkerboard) - such a neat blackboard look, and the country look of the second.. and the last is pure refinement!

Three wonderful cards. That pear is so beautiful, as a stamp and as a die. I love your first card--how you highlighted the pear with that checkerboard patter--you are becoming quite the Silhouette pro.
