Here is this week's inspiration photo:
I was inspired by JJ's use of white cardbase, color, and her stamping through a die cut. It is hard to see in my little picture, but if you check out JJ's original post of this card, there is a little clear tab next to the word "you" that you pull and the globe fills in with colorful beads. The colors are so pretty, so Spring-like, I decided to color up a really pretty label stamped though a Spellbinder Labels #25 die. Waltzingmouse Stamps Folk Art Labels #25 is such a pretty stamp set, requires little shading (my kind of coloring) and also has some places to put a little bling.
Here is my card:
I hope the wedding event goes smoothly. Enjoy the time.
I'm sorry you can't sleep ...I so understand why you cant. I bet it's feels like its was yesterday that he was the boy by your side.
Love the way you framed this card! Beautiful coloring and love the cut out.
Hope you tried that tea!
For some reason, I thought the big day was tomorrow! I hope you ended up getting some sleep--your card is wonderful, a great way to use that beautiful WM set.
Absolutely gorgeous card!
Wow, your little boy is getting married, no wonder you can't sleep! Congratulations, and have a fantastic day xx
Hopefully this beautiful card helped you get some sleep. The inverse die cut is fabulous. He will always be your little man. Congratulations to your son and his wife to be. Enjoy every minute of this day.
I'm dreading the day my kids leave me too - a big step for both you and your son. Take pride in the great job you did raising him to be who he is today - big Congratulations! Your card is beautiful - I really like how you colored in the frame and the die cut window - oh and that satin tab at the top!
Love the little peek of blue tab...
and the gorgeous coloring!
I can't even think about my babies being grown enough to marry...
weren't they just born? :)
Time goes so quick...
but I know you had a wonderful day and am just happy that he's happy.
You did good mama! :)
Cathy...I have been thinking about you all day! I hope you and your family are enjoying the wedding of your son, so exciting. I see why you were not able to sleep! Your card is just beautiful and you would never know it was created in the middle of the night. I love your coloring too, so perfect...can't wait to see photos and hear all about the wedding.
Hope the wedding went well! I love the negative die cut with lovely colouring. Thanks for joining us at CASE Study this week :)
'Kay I'm a little late...hope the wedding went well...well... There're always little mishaps but, I hope it was a joyous day!! It goes so fast... My oldest got married in November 2011 and I can remember being so worn out after...rest up!!
Fab card BTW!! Sorry, I was so focused on the wedding thing and being a mother!!
I'm just seeing this Cathy. Your insomniac card is brilliant! I hope everything went smoothly for the huge event! I remember feeling the same way (it seeming like a minute ago that my DS was a child, how could he be all grown up and getting married?!) and that was over 11 years ago! Can't wait to see the photos!!
