I have been on jury duty off and on for the past three weeks (a never-ending, boring civil case) and it feels like forever since I have been able to make a card. Yesterday on Mother's Day I was determined to get into my craft room and have some time to play. Since I had to make my little bit of card-making time count, I have a card for both

I made my own "chipboard-like" embellishment from a PTI Wonderful Words Holiday die. I cut the words four times and adhered them together using my xyron. It really does look like chipboard, nice and thick. I used Lost and Found patterned papers and a strip of corrugated cardstock, lots of teture on this card. The stamp set is Waltzingmouse stamps
Candy Jar Christmas Fillers. The peppermint is colored with glitter pens and quite sparkly in real life. The little pinked sentiment is from Waltzingmouse

Sounds like a good Mother’s Day , if you got some crafting time. I love this candy jar and the cards you make with it, all so different. Great choice of papers, and the homemade chipboard looks like you bought it. Beautiful card!
I am always happy to get out of jury duty , but once I was on a murder trial with special circumstances (kidnaping). It was interesting but very scary .

Hi Cathy! I saw this one in the gallery! Love the classic colors and that jar of sweets. See... you've got some of that corrugated paper too - glad to see you use it! I'm like the mad hatter - I'm late I'm late... so smart to use this for the sketch and the XC challenge!
