Dawn McVey Tag

One last card today using Dawn McVey's free tag download.  For some reason I can't quit using butterflies on my cards lately.  This card was going to be nothing but the tag and the Victorian Lace border.  At the last minute, I cut a couple of butterflies, one in felt, one in distressed dots paper and one in Summer Sunrise paper and added a few rhinestones and glued it onto the card.  It's funny, because I have never liked butterflies before...must be the felt and the patterned paper combination.  I really like it.  Dawn's tag is a great freebie as any sentiment can be added to it and you have an instant focal point.  Love it.  That's it for today, its Super Bowl time here in CA.

Another gorgeous card!
I love the bling and butterfly...makes it just POP!
I don't think I'm the only that's going to be getting a lot of mileage out of these tags...:)

Oh I really like the cheery look of this card. The butterfly is lovely on the woodgrain background.

Lovely card Cathy! The butterfly and Victorian border work great with Dawn's tag, and I love the wood grain embossing!

Love how you used the woodgrain background on the HS paper! I also really like the dimension of the butterfly! Great card!

Don't you just love Dawn's style? A bright and cheery thank you anyone would appreciate receiving. The layered butterfly really pops. Do you use your woodgrain background often? Uncertain if the stamp or impression plate would be better as can't afford both right now. Thanks for sharing your creative works!

I love this! Dawn's tag really had me perplexed on how I would use it. You nailed it! Beautiful!
