12 Kits of Occasions-Christmas in July

Welcome to the July edition of the 12 Kits of Occasions, a monthly posting by friends who exchange card kits throughout the year posting what they make on the last day of each month.  This month I am the hostess and had a great time collecting lots of Christmas elements to include in my kit.  This month in addition to our usual designers...Lisa Elton of My Paper Tales is joining us as a guest designer.  Lisa makes beautiful cards and I hope you stop by her blog and see what she has done with my July kit.

In case you are wondering...here is a picture of our kit ingredients that we all worked with this month.  Thank you Tracey for taking the picture for us!
For a full listing of the kit ingredients, you can always look on our 12 Kits of Occasions blog at the top of the page under Supplies...everything is listed in case you are curious about the paper or stamps we used to make our cards.

There's lots to see, so here are the cards that I made with our July holiday kit.

It was very rewarding to know that I have made a small start with my Christmas 2015 cards...please be sure to stop by the 12 Kits of Occasions blog to see what everyone else in our group made with out kit.

What a magnificent kit you put together, Cathy! So much wonderful Christmas inspiration which I desperately need with the calendar pages being flipped this year at an alarming rate, and me about 75 cards behind the goal I set for myself in January of where I wanted to be in July! Yikes! So I appreciate all these gorgeous cards you made!! Enjoy your day!! Hugs, Darnell

Thanks for a wonderful kit! It was fun working on them in July! Your cards are all adorable! I love the plaid and polka dot card because it’s such a fun mix, I used the same mix. I have to admit I am behind in my Christmas cards this year, so this will help.
The word phrase we could not come up with in the car the other day was.... out of context... I’m sure your remembered it later as well. Thanks again for a beautiful Kit!

Cathy...love your kit, I had so much fun playing with it. All the wonderful ingredients you included were so much fun and so different, things I have not used before that made it so much fun. I love your first card with that sweet pair of birds and you used that sweet green straw with the magnificent plaid deer, makes a stunning card. Thank you again for the fabulous holiday kit!

Loved your kit so much, Cathy! I know I've said this before but I loved the patterned papers! And OMG, things were so easy to work with--everything just seemed to fall in place! Love your birds with the multi-patterned paper and the plaid deer card where you used the straw! I still get stumped about straws but then see other people's great designs and wonder why I didn't think of that. Thanks SO much again. It's been a wonderful month!

So much fun to see what you did with your kit. Can you tell how much I loved everything in this kit. I feel like we did almost the same thing with that plaid deer. I think that was my very favorite bit. I am laughing at the stockings I see in your third card. I had no idea what to do with the die cut bits that I now see are the heel, toe, and cuff of those stockings. Thanks again for making such a great kit, and it was so much fun creating for cold weather when it was so hot here and my AC had died.

Cathy, First, thank you so much for the wonderful kit! I loved everything you included and cards came together easy - everything perfectly coordinated! You thought of every little detail - just as always so putting things together was a breeze! I love your cards and how you let the pattern paper steal the show. You didn't cover it up - just added die cut embellishments. You amazed me with how you even found embellishments to match the paper like the cardinals and the stockings! Thank you so much Cathy!

Cathy, you put together such a beautiful kit! The addition of those Christmas coloured straws was ingenious and has inspired so much creativity. I really admire your ability to put together such a variety of different, yet complementary items. Such a treat for visiting bloggers like me. Your cards showcase your kit so well!!
