It's July 16th and the time for another edition of Four of a Kind...In Bloom style!  This month, Joyce of Cards by the Sea is our hostess and she came up with another great kit based around Papertrey Ink's In Bloom stamp set.    Here is a picture of everything Joyce sent us, and it was a lot!
Lots of great ingredients to make our practically "self-assembling" cards...Joyce must have been die cutting and embossing for hours for us!
I was lucky enough to receive this kit right before I left on vacation, so I had a lot of fun putting together my three cards and only had to add a few little embellishments that I had brought with me.
Here's my first card:
Joyce created some pretty patterned paper for us using the In Bloom images and I love that I didn't have to even color them...the line images are pretty enough all by themselves.  I did shade the center flower a bit with a pink copic marker and add one of the Think Big sentiments I brought with me, one of my very favorites.

One of the things I love about In Bloom, is it's elegance.  The embossed vellum panel Joyce included in our kit seemed perfect for one of those cards we all hope to never have to send, but is nice to have on hand for the times you do.
I used the pretty black seam binding from Joyce and added a sparkly button from Webster's Pages.

Muy last card is my favorite:
This is going to be either for a wedding or an anniversary...I am leaning toward an anniversary card.  I love that pretty impression plate design and the Wonderful Words die cut says everything an anniversary card needs to say.

Here are all three of my cards lined up just ready to address.
Another great month and even more fun for me because I got to make them on vacation.  Thanks Joyce for a wonderful kit and for giving me all the things I needed to create something while I was away from my own craftroom!

Check out the rest of our groups cards:

Next month our hostess is Renee and it will be our 12th challenge.  It is hard to believe it has been a full year since we started our little challenge group!

I love them all, and can't pick a favorite, so I won't even try. I have to admit, that I was hoping that you would use the 'forever' die cut and the big piece of vellum, because I wanted more ideas for that one. I'm so happy that you got to make these on vacation, and that you had everything you needed. I tend to shy away from this stamp set because I'm not big on coloring, but you have showed me how beautiful these images can be just as they are.

Cathy! All three are beautiful! Love the clean look and all the beautiful color! The embossed panel is so elegant, by my fave is the first one with the hot pink and the pearl embellished ribbon. Gorgeous!

I hoarded my vellum (and other embossing)...

Wow, Cathy all of your cards are just amazing! I love them all and can't select just one either. I love the one with the layered flower, never thought about doing that, just so clever and very stunning. I was really stumped with what to do with the large piece of embossed velum and I can see you had no problem at all, just so beautiful and perfect for a classy sympathy card. Your forever card is just beautiful, reminds me of Twilight for some reason, just perfect!

Joyce sure created a wonderful kit this month. And your cards are all just gorgeous! The pink is so wonderfully bright & cheery and the 'anniversary' card is so elegant & pretty! Love how your used the 'forever' sentiment! I have that IP but never thought of using it to emboss vellum. Your card with the lovely bow and simple design is just stunning!
