Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #56

I loved the sketch this week for Waltzingmouse stamps, WMSC#56 so much that I made a second card.  It also helps that I just got my order of new stamps and lots of ideas are bouncing around in my head.  For details about this sketch challenge, here is a link and this is the sketch:
This sketch is so versatile, fits any stamp set you have.
I used one of Waltzingmouse's new sets, Eat Cake.  It's just perfect for birthday or wedding cakes.
Actually, I can also see adorable cupcakes sitting on top of that cute little cake stand too, but for today, I needed a birthday card for my baby.  My 29 year old baby, Matt.  That teeny, tiny 5 lb baby born 6 weeks early and in only 30 minutes from start to finish.  That was a shocker for a first time mom who expected labor to last FOR..EV..ER.  I barely made it to the hospital.  My husband threw some clothes in a paper sack for me to take.  I never got over that one.  A paper sack?  No toothbrush, hairbrush, nothing.  Just the most ratty, ripped up nightgown I owned.  That was all.
Anyway, we survived.  He survived and has grown into a wonderful, successful young man who is happy all the time.  Seriously, all the time.  Never gets mad, always smiling, never holds a grudge (unlike his mother) and is so smart!  Computer Science.  Math.  Where did he get that?  Not from his mom or dad, that's for sure.  We haven't been able to help him with homework since 5th grade.

I guess I lost my train of thought.  The card.  Here it is:

I stamped IO Screen Cover a Card onto a Hawaiian Shores cardbase.  I seem to use that stamp on everything these days.  I rarely have a cardbase without some kind of texture in versamark lately.  The polka dots are from PTI BB Polka Dot #2 and the cakestand is embossed with dark chocolate ink.  I stamped my beautiful cake onto kraft with Memento Sand ink.  The flowers are stamped in pure poppy with a little bit of stickles in the center.  At the top, a sentiment from Eat Cake and a few little rhinestone sparklies.  After all, this is a card for a grown man.
Still my baby at 29.  Happy Birthday, Matt!
Here's a pic of my 29 year old baby.  Ignore the fish.  I just loved the expression on Matt's face.

Cathy.....I just love your card and your story about "your baby". It's too funny that you said you hadn't helped him with math since 5th grade......I hear that a lot from my students' parents. Anyway.....Your card is just perfect, as always. Love seeing the CAC again! ;-)
