Todays card is for
CAS-ual Fridays CFC9 titled "Krafts-Men". I love kraft cardstock. Love it. This challenge was something I knew I would enjoy and it was just great timing that I need a birthday card for my 25 year old nephew this weekend. I used Birthday Words Impression Obsession Cover-a-Card stamp in Versamark for the background. It is subtle, but adds a nice touch for a masculine card. I cut a Nestie circle and embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder and adhered it to my cardbase. For the focal point, I used a trio of labels from My Favorite Things stamped with the Woodgrain Impression Obsession Cover-A-Card and Screen Cover-a-Card stamps. The sentiment and star are from PTI Star Prints and the star rhinestones were colored with copics to match the navy ink. Lately, no card of mine goes without some twine, especially masculine cards, so there is a bit of Enchanted Evening twine wrapped around the entire cardbase. Cathy........This is just AWESOME!!! I could swear that your focal point was another company's dies released last month.....If not, they are an exact duplicate and one of my very favorites!!! What you did with the woodgrain and screen IO CAC stamps is nothing short of wonderful! Like always, you amaze me with all of your layering and embossing. Just perfect!
Oh my word this is wonderful! Your BG stamping is spot on and that cool framed focal point is SO eye-catching. Such a great card Cathy! And perfect for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge!
Oh, I bet you win the challenge. This is such a perfect card. I can't imagine anything better. I love how there is so much layering and texturing in the focal point. Great color choice. Pure genius.
