Guest Designer Top Dog Dies : Mini Tag Dies

I'm back today with Day 2 as Guest Designer for Top Dog Dies.  Top Dog Dies is a new online store that offers their own brand of wafer-thin and steel-rule dies, along with dies from brands you already know and trust, including My Favorite Things, Lawn Fawn, Taylored Expressions, Savvy Stamps and Cheery Lynn Designs.  Top Dog Dies is also the leading U.S.  retailer for Tattered Lace, a new line of intricate dies designed by British designer Stephanie Weightman.

Today I am sharing a couple of cards I made using a very versatile set of dies, one's every single crafter should have on hand.  I am talking about Top Dog Dies Mini Tags.  This is a set of 6 small tag dies in a variety of shapes and sizes.  I can't tell you how many times I have nearly finished a card only to find I hadn't left space for a stamped sentiment.  Now I have six cute choices for just those occasions, and also lots of tags to choose from when I just want to add a cute touch to one of my cards.
My first card made use of every single shape die in the package.  I cut them all out with coordinating patterned papers and added some enamel dots for variety.  I stamped the sentiment on one of the blank tags.  This card literally took me seconds to make and is nice and flat for easy mailing.
I know.  No where near Christmas time, but the round tag totally reminded me of a cute Christmas ornament and I couldn't resist.  I cut them from glitter paper, added some cute little bows, sentiment and a few rhinestones.  This is just another example of how a tag doesn't always have to be used as a tag making this die set even more versatile.

I'll be back next Friday with my final post as Guest Designer for Top Dog Dies...this has been a blast!

Great cards--what a fun set of dies you received. I love that first card--I seem to be seeing a lot of this style of cards lately--apparently you are right on trend, and I am behind as usual. And, fabulous idea to make them into ornaments.

I love the collage look you got with the first Cathy. All the colors and patterns just make me happy. Maybe you hypnotized me with the shiny enamel dots and that fab denim paper? Could be those hearts too dang it! Super cute!

Cute ways to use the tags! They are adorable as little sparkly ornaments and look great on the denim background!
