Summer Barn & Windmill

I am on vacation this week, but I can't go a whole week without making a card! My husband and I took two carry-on bags with us, mine was entirely filled with stamps, dies and crafting supplies. I held my breath as TSA scanned my bag fully expecting my metal dies to be considered "weapons", but I got lucky and it went through with no problem, although I did have to have a full body scan and my husband did not!

I spent a very fun day yesterday using some new Serendipity stamps I received the day before we left. I love the cozy feel of the Summer Barn and Windmill stamp. It creates such a warm, comforting feel and is such a detailed stamp, just perfect for stamping without having to color it. Here is the card I made with it:

I used one of my new Spellbinder dies (Thanks Jeanne) which creates a beautiful frame for the barn image. I added a few rolling hills and added an additional popped up windmill for dimension. Don't those little cow and pig silhouette dies look cute with the barn scene? The sentiment is from Everyday Words, small horizontal and fit perfectly onto a Spellbinder fancy tag. I packed some gingham ribbon since it adds such a homespun feel to a card. This is my very favorite Serendipity stamp so far...(notice I said so far) since every time I look through the store I find a stamp I can not wait to use! Make sure to check out the store and I am sure you will agree.

I love the rolling hills and how you stamped the fenceline on the PP! And you stamped on the die cut too!! You have so many layers and dimension here and I love the pop of red - great contrast!

Really pretty scene you have created. And, I love that windmill popped up. Super idea to use those PTI farm animals with this stamp.

Oh my goodness Cathy! This is beautiful! I wanted to get the same dies and stamps but my dh asked me when and where I was going to use them for. In short he talked me out of buying them. Now I wish I had gotten them! lol :)

Such an adorable card, Cathy! :) Thank you for your questions about my Cameo. Hope to answer them here: 1. Yes, I'm happy with the crisp cut (even with PTI paper). 2. I don't have to cut more than once, but of course, this depends on settings, blade depth, blade newness, etc. :) Hope this helps! I love my Cameo!
