Cloud 9 Blog Hop

Today is the very first blog hop for a new blog...Cloud 9 created to showcase the fabulous stamps from WPlus9 Design Studio.  I only have one WPlus 9 stamp set, so I was a bit limited in what I could create with the first inspiration photo, but I plan to have a few more sets to work with in the very near future.

Here's the inspiration photo:
I loved the bright colors and that neat grass trim, so those are the elements I tried to re-create in my card.
I stamped the blueberry image from Fresh Picked in shades of red and pink and made the stems in shades of blue and green.  The trim behind the image is a very stiff raffia-like trim I have had for quite a while, not even sure what to call it, but it kind of looks like the grass skirt from the picture.
I am looking forward to the day when I have several WPlus9 stamp sets to choose from...I am sure there are going to be lots more great blog hops from Cloud 9 in the future.

I think this is cute and clever Cathy! You made the set you have work and it looks great! Love the raffia background and the red die cut that mimics the red swag on the table! Well done!

Super cute card. Don't you think it is kind of liberating to only have a small number of sets to choose from? I love what you did with this challenge. That woven background is perfect.

You did a fantastic job, Cathy! The raffia background is so cool! And I love how well the Berry set looks using the inspiration colors. I'm anxious to get more WPlus9 sets too but I agree we Joyce about it being kind of liberating to have just a few. Not too many choices that way and my hubby always says that it's best not to give me too many choices!

Hi Cathy! OMG for the raffia! Did you weave that yourself? It's amazing! And I honestly thought that the diecut was patterned paper. This is fantastic. Thank you so much for joining us!

Love that raffia background you used… talk about perfect! Your saving it paid off. Beautiful card and great take on the picture. Looks like I need to buy some of these stamps. I like the little pineapples you stamped.
