Card Pattern Sketches #153

It has been forever since I last played along with a Card Pattern Sketches challenge, but this week my good friend Jeanne Jachna of A Kept Life is the guest designer!  How could I not play along?  Here's this weeks sketch (#153) on which my card is based:
Very interesting sketch with all those little squares.  I didn't want to cut squares for my card, but created a grid pattern using a diecut my friend Joyce sent to me using Papertrey Ink's quatrefoil die.
Here's my card:
I used my favorite colors again, raspberry fizz, summer sunrise and black.  I cut the quatrefoil diecut in pieces, covered up the raw edges with satin ribbon over a black scalloped border.  The sentiment is one of PTI's Think Big Favorites.  The flowers are Flower Fusian #12 with the cute gingham pattern.  This was one of those days where I made myself use some dies and stamps I own but have never used, guess that means I can buy some more now!

Make sure you check out Jeanne's beautiful card on the Card Pattern Sketches blog, it is gorgeous!

Brilliant to use the quatrefoil on this sketch. Love your layout, and those darling plaid flowers. They are one of the few flower fusions I didn't buy, and now I think I need them.

Gorgeous!
Love how you used the quatrefoil with this instead of squares...
such a creative take on the challenge!
And yes...
since you have now used previously unused stamps...
you may buy more! ;)

So pretty, Cathy! Using the quatrefoil was a brilliant idea in place of the grid, and your flowers are so cute with their button centers and twine bows. So glad you could join us this week at Card Patterns!

Oh Cathy - I can't believe today is Wed and you posted this on Sun! I think I'm not getting my updates! How clever to use the lattice vs. all squares!! I love the bright colors and those sweet flowers!

This is really lovely Cathy, that die cut panel is beautiful, and the hot colours work so well together, beautiful sentiment too.
