It's time to share another 4 of a Kind project with you all. A few months ago, Renee, Joyce and Kim who are forum friends of mine started a little monthly project that has turned out to be really fun and creative. Each month one of us mails the others a little kit of stamping ingredients. Our challenge is to make a project using at least "4" of the kit ingredients and then reveal them on the same day to each other. It has been such fun awaiting the arrival of our kits, digging into them to see what stamps and papers we have to work with and then checking out each other's cards to see how similar or different they are from each other. This month the kit came from Joyce and here is a peek at all of the ingredients she sent to us:
2) My son and daughter-in-law just took a hot air balloon ride less than a month ago for their two year anniversary. There was no doubt in my mind that my project using Up, Up and Away would be some type of scrapbook page or framed collage from their day own Up, Up and Away Anniversary. Here is my project:
I used so many pieces of this kit to make my scrapbook page. I colored the balloons in similar colors to the ones that Matt and Katie saw and rode in on their anniversary. I used so many pieces of the kit to make this page and still have enough left over to make one or two cards. My favorite part of the page is the map circle with the number two on it. That circle was cut from one of the little packages that held our ingredients. I think Matt and Katie will really love having this displayed in their bookshelf and wouldn't be surprised if they are going to expect another one next year for their 3rd anniversary.
Here is a look at the page all assembled and framed:
Now that you have looked at my 4 of a Kind project, make sure you pop over and look at projects from my three friends, Renee, Joyce and Kim. I also think there is a prize available if you leave a comment on all four blogs and become a follower of each! Here is a link to their blogs:
What an incredible gift! Your page is just beautiful, the colors and the way you were able to use a portion of the map seed packets too. Just too sweet!
This is awesome!!
And how neat that Matt and Katie just did this...
He's so tall...
or she's so short...
not sure which...
but both are so beautiful/handsome...
they will treasure this!
Such a fabulous gift for them...
it's just perfect!
This is amazing. I am so surprised. Now, I know what you were waiting to get from Matt (I thought I was a power tool, or something) How clever this is, and what a beautiful gift. I love how you used so many of the elements--and your balloons coordinate perfectly with the balloons in their photos.
Thud. Yep that was me fainting from the sheer genius and insight of your layout. How perfect. Talk about ones crafting stars all lining up. Just fabulous in every way! Brilliant!
Wow!!!! What a beautiful layout!!!! I love each and every detail!!! You are amazing my friend!
What a great layout! Love the design and how you incorporated so many elements from the kit!
What a super idea!! I love the framed scrap page - such a lovely way to remember a special day!
Wow! What a neat idea. I am sure this will be treasured for years to come. You did an awesome job with the layout. So colorful. Don't forget to post the cards you make with the leftovers.
Wow-how awesome! So cool that you were able to use your packet of goodies to make this great layout. Perfect timing! Love the colors and how they coordinate with their actual balloon. They will cherish the gift I'm sure!
What a great idea - and even better timing. Your hot air baloon layout is awesome. I like that you framed and it's not closed up in a book somewhere. A great reminder of where they're going, and where they've been.
What a fabulous keepsake for your son and daughter in law! I love these PTI stamps - I have some on order, my very first ones and I can't wait to get my hands on them! I wish PTI had a European distributor, they would go like hot cakes!
Cathy, what an incredible keepsake for your DS and DIL. It is totally fitting to their recent hot-air balloon ride. Super job!
Wow, you came up with such a great idea with the kit Joyce sent you. How perfect. Your project is going to be such a great gift I'm sure will be around for a long time. Great idea to frame it!
